Emiliano Rodriguez
"The music inside the places"
Concert for solitary saxophone
Every single place has its own hidden "vibrations", underground rhythms, obscure melodies. The saxophonist, Emiliano Rodriguez, as a new "Indiana Jones" of the seven notes, explores in solo performance, the "acoustic depths" of the wild, historical and artistic places, trying to bring out the "hidden treasures" and the ancestral suggestions from them.
It is not only a concert, but also an intense dialogue between the saxophonist and the chosen location. The musician experience and inspiration free the underground musical energies, and these, in return, blend into the artist view.
Each performance is unique, as it is the result of a close relationship between the place and the artist that each time has been established in a different way. It is usually itinerant, and includes a series of virtual musical rooms, that integrate an evocative path within the chosen site.
The project is addressed to places with a specific environmental historical and artistic value such as public parks, castles, historical buldings, town centers, museums, art exhibitions, or to fascinating sites such as abandoned factories, harbours, train stations, etc.
Emiliano Rodriguez is one of the few musicians in Italy that can play different musical styles such as classical, contemporary, jazz, ethnic. He relates to the places using the practice of improvisation in different languages and various compositive approaches. This guarantee broad expressive possibilities, which are essential to make this journey into the depths of music ... and soul unique.
